Re: POLAR BEAR CLUB. vancouver
I'll probably go to this if I can find someone to come with me and a way to convince my mother missing school is alright...
I think finding someone who can afford it is the bigger issue.

Re: POLAR BEAR CLUB. vancouver
this place is huuuge
Re: POLAR BEAR CLUB. vancouver
I've been there like three times.
It's actually my favourite venue in Van at the moment (but I haven't been to many shows there so I haven't got much to compare it to). There is a barrier, but not a big enough space between it and the stage for it to matter... I don't think it's even bolted down. The stage goes to about shoulder level for me, but I'm short so...
It's this old theatre, and my friends say it's "sketchy and ghetto". It's on east hastings and main st.
...and yeah, it's decent sized I guess, but in all honesty, that picture makes it look a lot bigger than it actually is.

Well I've only ever been there to see Emilie Autumn which is usually better received in a theatre environment, and the other couple shows I've been to have just been huge drunken parties.

Re: POLAR BEAR CLUB. vancouver
I saw slingshot there play to 10 people and this place looks huge with 1000
cool venue though there was no barrier when I was there but Id imagine that depends on ticket sales
stage is way to tall
Do tons of kids like ETID?

I don't know about tons but I do know quite a few kids who do. Personally, they're not my favourite...Rude Boy Puff wrote: Do tons of kids like ETID?

also, the vocalist from TUI's stage performance is more fitting for an 80's hip hop artist. Thought I was watching Biz Markie up there when I saw them

i'm sketched that it's on hastings and main
but whatever.
i don't care about the venue, i like all the bands playing
and even if a lot of kids don't like ETID, four year strong is insanely popular right now.

You shouldn't really worry about the area. Everytime i've been there there has been no problems.heartlessatbest wrote:i'm sketched that it's on hastings and main

Re: POLAR BEAR CLUB. vancouver
I've played shows in that area, never had a problem. It's bad, but not as bad as people say.

You don't need any of them. You just need drugs.
