those movies seem more tackling social issues rather than teen highschool comedy esque

troy, clearly you're speaking out of ignorance, fore if you had watched either 'Don't Be A Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in The Hood' or 'Friday', you would know that both are teen comedies.

I would be down to watch either one - probably more inclined to watch 'Friday' - but both are splendid, and definitely 'Win a Date With Tad Hamilton' as well.

also, it can be easily argued that all of the movies we have watched tackle social issues in one way or another, WHILE delivering that delightful teenage, high-school comedy we all love and admire...
