Re: definitive list
In my eyes this is totally different. It wasn't a series of lists from strangers, this is someone taking a notice in your interest and giving you an introduction to that culture. Yeah, there is a list involved, but it started with human interaction. Also, it's just one list, this thread is just a ton of them, and if it was a genre I wasn't familiar with I'd find it pretty intimidating and not very helpful.Jordan f. wrote:I was really into punk when I was younger and tambo knew that. Re: definitive list
I realize the last post in this thread was made in November, but I've been thinking about my favorite hardcore bands and the decades that they fit into. I realize that some of these bands have careers spanning two or three decades, so I will put them in the decade in which they released my favorite material.
1980-1989:
Bad Brains
Black Flag
Cro-Mags
Youth of Today
Gorilla Biscuits
Embrace
Minor Threat
Judge
7 Seconds
Dead Kennedys
1990-1999:
Agnostic Front
Sick of it All
Integrity
Kid Dynamite
Ensign
Madball
H2O
Hatebreed
Shai Hulud
Snapcase
2000-2009:
American Nightmare
Carry On
No Warning
Champion
Have Heart
Blacklisted
Modern Life Is War
Bane
The Hope Conspiracy
