Also, I wouldn't waste my time seeing a Chokehold Reunion, seeing as most of those dudes sold out Edge/Veganism long ago. It'd be cool to see them play, but I wouldn't pay to watch a bunch of dudes sing songs about things that mean nothing to them anymore.
aka the reason I am 50/50 on the Strife reunion.
Reece, lets start a 90's style hardcore band in the vain of chokehold!
Chokehold are easily one of the top 5 90's hardcore bands. Their music, their politics, their complete willingness to brutaly and honestly criticize their own subculture, Chokehold are almost perfect for me.
WHAT'S MORE IMPORTANT? THE WORLD'S PROBLEMS OR THE X ON YOUR HAND?
Haha that poster is from like... 2008.
Chokehold on that poster are a bunch of kids that used to go to Mount Doug in grade 11/12 at the time playing some form of metal. They had saxaphone.
Also, I was at that show.
I would be stoked to see Strife only if the line up was stacked, much like it is. (assuming you are talking about sound and fury)
One Truth is "unfuckwithable"
I dont think they get enough credit for how sweet they were.
i went to the strife reunion a couple years ago. it was fucking awesome. rick rodney's mustache was amazing. end thread.
chokehold is decent though. they made eating shrimp a part of being a vegan. i can back that. the crap recordings though, make it difficult for me to want to consistently listen to them.

Then you'll go from being lonely to wishing that everybody would just fuck off because their a bunch of fucking buzzkills going on about how 'you've got a problem" and they "just want to be their to help you". You don't need any of them. You just need drugs.
