Re: NOW WATCHING (TV/MOVIES/ETC)
Tried to watch TRUE BLOOD season 1 last night, expecting to catch the fever and lose a week of my life to my addiction, but I hated it. Bad acting and a terrible plot. I'm a sucker for terrible TV (Favourite show is The OC), but this was too much. I actually prefer Twilight to this.
Downloaded Season 5 of The Wire because I haven't watched it yet and I'm home sick from work, so between my book and The Wire, I should have a good day.

Gotta disagree with you dude, True Blood is fantastic. How far in did you get? Cuz honestly, the first four episodes are pretty slow, but it takes right the fuck off in episode 5.

You don't need any of them. You just need drugs.

Watching this show as well. Astrology/physics as tackled by Morgan Freeman. Gives a hell of a weight to hearing about dark matter or the origins of the universe. Rad awesome!
Also started watching the new season of The Real World. So far this is going to be waaaaay more interesting than last season in DC. That Ryan dude is fucking crazy!

Re: NOW WATCHING (TV/MOVIES/ETC)
I watched two episodes of True Blood. It was so annoying I couldn't even watch another one. I guess mostly the acting, but also the characters, made my brain angry. I'll take your word for it, but doubt I'll dabble more than I did. Unless all of my books spontaneously combust and better tv shows stop existing.
Convince me to waste more of my time trying to enjoy it though, because maybe I'm missing something...

Re: NOW WATCHING (TV/MOVIES/ETC)
I watch True Blood. I have had the same reaction to the person above who stopped watching after 2 episodes. The cheese factor becomes endearing after awhile though, and I am actually pretty into it these days.
That being said, the 3rd season, which is airing right now is really good. It has elevated the show from schlocky guilty pleasure to something I thoroughly enjoy. The violence and gore are through the roof this season. It's worth watching the first two seasons to get to this. Plus the Jason Stackhouse story line in the second season is hilarious.

Re: NOW WATCHING (TV/MOVIES/ETC)
I'm almost completely caught up on True Blood. Just have the 2 most recent episodes to watch... Also loved the 2nd season Jason Stackhouse storyline. I dunno, I don't feel like I really love the show, but I keep watching it... I think the next series I'm gonna tackle is Entourage. Kyle/Keith have either of you not watched this yet?
I play bass. I play guitar. I do both poorly. What's up.

I'll torrent that shit, and we can watch it like buddies! (You have to).
Also, I borrowed The Secret of Nim from Maia, and I'm INCREDIBLY stoked to get super baked and get terrified watching it. Used to be one of my favorite movies when I was younger, but always scared me.

The two latest episodes, in my opinion are two of the best of the whole series.Tambro wrote:I'm almost completely caught up on True Blood. Just have the 2 most recent episodes to watch... Fuck. Haven't had a chance to start watching the third season. Can't wait to sit down and get caught up.
That Jason Stackhouse storyline in the second season was fucking hilarious.
Also, on a completely different note, the third season of Sons of Anarchy can't start early enough.

Re: NOW WATCHING (TV/MOVIES/ETC)
I just started watching Curb Your Enthusiasm, I'm on season two. Holy crap, it is so awkward, and tense that I can't get enough of it. I love Larry David so much, and the more I see of him. I realize how much of him, the Jerry Seinfeld character was. It seems like it was 95% larry david, and like...5% Jerry doing his weird high tone annoyed thing. Anyway, Curb=Yes.
EDIT FOR SOA: I forgot that this Sons Of Anarchy starts in about a month, thank you guys for reminding me. Fuuuck. I need to know what happens. NEED.

Just watched this film by Dario Argento. If you liked Suspiria or any sort of more artistically done horror CHECK this movie out! It was awesome! Soundtrack by Goblin too!

Just finished Deadwood. What a crappy note that series ended on.
