POST FEST
First I want to say, that you are all amazing people. I feel very lucky to have a group like you to make life so much more fun.
To any of the new people who attended this year, thank you for comming, and I hope you continue to come out and see bands, make new friends, and have good times.
And to the usual suspects, im really glad that we have an ongoing support for each other. What we do here means alot and things like this cannot come together without a group dynamic. You guys are so fucking fabulous I feel blessed.
HUGE thanks to all of the bands, and their fellow travellers who played and hung out and made the fest what it was. I got to see some very special people this weekend that I do not get to see often, and also made some really rad friends.
The turnout was smaller than I was expecting, but the part about Victoria that rules so hard is that we make it what it is no matter the number. Quality over quantity.
Events like this never go down without some drama, and I hope that culprits understand what these consequences mean for VIHC and nationwide hardcore/punk/everything.
Thanks again, to everybody. You are all wonderful people. Im sorry for being such a granny (especially at day 2), it is not easy controlling a venue full of 200 riled up people.
Love you all.

I was feeling great after 4 hours sleep and moving all my room at 4am last night by myself, then found our car broken into, guitars stolen.
I play bass. I play guitar. I do both poorly. What's up.

Re: POST FEST
Thank you to everyone who helped put the fest together and also thank you to everyone who volunteered their time to work the door, act as security, work concession, help clean up, etc. too. Top to bottom you did a great job with this festival. I hope you're all feeling pleased about how it turned out and managed to squeeze in some fun between running the show.
We really appreciate being included.

Re: POST FEST
Didn't mean to derail this, it really was a great fest, I'll post a more concrete version of suggestions another time when my brain is functioning.
As for the gear it was a black on black Musicman Stingray and a natural finish PRS SE Singlecut Korina. I really appreciate you keeping your eyes open in Vancouver for me, Andrew. I'm gonna do the pawn shop rounds tomorrow then keep my eyes open on the internet. I have some hope of it showing up, part of the niceness of living on an island.

No problem man. I hope you called the police to report the theft.Tambro wrote:Didn't mean to derail this, it really was a great fest, I'll post a more concrete version of suggestions another time when my brain is functioning.

When you have a chance shoot me any further details you can think of (serial number if you have it, distinguishing nicks, scratches, etc.). I've got friends who work at the L+M here so I can put the word to them to watch for it and it never hurts to pop an ad up on Craigslist about the theft/watch craigslist vigilantly for a while.

I think I'm gonna do something about this...

Then you'll go from being lonely to wishing that everybody would just fuck off because their a bunch of fucking buzzkills going on about how 'you've got a problem" and they "just want to be their to help you". You don't need any of them. You just need drugs.
Re: POST FEST
I am so choked about this... It's gonna be sweet to continue pay my monthly payment on a guitar I don't have
But other than that the fest was FUCKING AWESOME! I thought it was way better than last year.

It's so easy to laugh, It's so easy to like, It takes strength to be gentle and kind .
