Re: Shellac
They played Seattle last year and I saw them. They were great live. I don't think they've been to Vancouver in nearly 10 years. Did they ever play in Vic?
Re: Shellac

I NEED TO SEE EM
DID THEY MY BLACK ASS?
OR PRAYER TO GOD?
Well if they have not played Van in over ten years I have no idea about Vic, would of been 8..so no idea.
we should book them.

Played them both. Even the songs from the new record (which didn't catch my ear at first) were great live. I think the one song they didn't play that I was hoping for was The Admiral.reece wrote:FUCK

I didn't see them in Van back when either.
Re: Shellac
The new record is different, it is missing the amazing guitar tone which sucks, but its still a great record.
My fav is probably 1000 Hurts or The Futurist(cant believe they didn't release it)

Re: Shellac
EIG feels a bit disjointed to me. Like a random collection of songs, not a record. It felt like they hadn't put a lot of work into the band for years, which is likely the case.
I need to give The Futurist more listens. I like Shellac's records in order from oldest to newest.

Re: Shellac
Hey, after reading this thread I found "Excellent Italian Greyhound" in Talks Cheap for $14 and decided to pick it up. I really liked it. What else have they done/what should I look for?

Re: Shellac
My advice would be to start at the beginning and check out "At Action Park".
