Hahaha, no. But if that were the case, then I would understand why they would like to take me to spooky places. Some of my friends get a kick out of how scared I get though, and purposely take to me to spooky places just to ridicule me.

I feel so out of the loop! my friend jasmine from ontario is visiting around this time and I want to show her a good time around vic. what better than some awesome bands, a trip around the island, and the victoria tourist experience?? can we tag along with damages for these few days? jasmine is canada's biggest shotmaker fan (maybe) if that helps our case at all.

also weighing in on super touristy things to do in and around victoria:
mt tolmie behind our house is awesome at night, such a great view, don't know if we ever dragged you guys up there
butchart gardens - total waste of time, my parents used to drag me around this when relatives visited, it's just a lot of flowers
the museum actually rules
butterfly gardens - I'm indifferent
ogden point breakwater - free and a must-do! it's awesome.
the ross bay cemetary is cool if you like cemetaries
kayaking along the inner harbour is pretty fun and you can rent kayaks downtown
laser tag is sweet. but I'm also like 12 years old at heart.
swimming in the sooke potholes kind of rules, it's quite a ways out from greater victoria though
miniature world - waste of time
maritime museum - waste of time
finnerty gardens at uvic are pretty cool and I'd like to think the campus is worth a visit
fort rodd hill is super rad if it's how I remember it. only if you're interested in military history, I guess. I think they charge admission now though.
you guys have probably already done this but it's kind of cool to see the parliament buildings, walk along the inner harbour, etc.
there are outdoor movies for a free b movie festival being shown at beacon hill park around when you're there. also beacon hill park is pretty nice.

The Nanaimo show is still up in the air. Willa is working on getting a show from White Ribs there. If it happens it'll be No Eulogy, Damages and White Ribs. Which'd be cool because I still havn't gotten to see White Ribs. Hopefully it happens. Any word on it Willa?

The Sunday show in Vic is the Absolute Underground Rising Scum Fest all ages show, which is at White Eagle Hall and is Mendozza, Damages, No Eulogy, AWT, Slash Wrists and Capital City Stalkers.

If the Friday show happens let's definitely do some hanging over the weekend.

Kris is down, the place is ready but we're waiting to see if Scott can get the night off for work. If not, I've got ideas for replacements which I will PM to you. Either way I'm going to Nanaimo.

also I just went bungee jumping at wildplay in nanaimo. it's a little pricey but becky and I did it for our one year anniversary. I'll post the video we bought (we're suckers! shh!) when it's up. if you're in nanaimo early (they're open until 5:30) it's one of two places in bc that has bungee jumping and was totally fun, would totally do it again. I'd probably want to do it all the time if the price was lower.

and that haunted house! we went to that. oh man. so we went into this costume shop where this super creepy dude was working. that's where you buy the tickets. he wasn't creepy in some acting creepy way. he just seemed like this total social recluse who doesn't shower and plays lots of d&d in a bad way, like he couldn't look us in the eye and just looked like he would have body parts stored in a freezer or that he would buy people's pee online or something. plus he eyed becky in a super jerk-pervert kind of way. and led us to the room where it starts.

it starts in this locked room (no coming out from the beginning) that starts shaking. then once you're in, for the first bit, it's pitch black and so hard to figure out where to go. we were nearly sure it was a front for this dude to go rape people. that was the scariest part. so most of the scary imagery and stuff in the place was just even scarier because of that.
