I decided the conversation was stupid after realizing that Kyle and Willa EDIT: WERE NOT ON THE SAME PAGE AS ME IN TERMS OF DISCUSSING philosophical implications of the internet EDIT: PERHAPS IT IS AN ISSUE THEY DONT CARE ABOUT. So I changed all my posts to poor french translations of dialogue from the movie True Romance. That way it EDIT: IGNORES THE WHOLE ARGUMENT WHICH WAS SILLY, and so everyone else doesn't have to explode in further discussion that will produce absolutely no interesting results.

I'm the bad guy on this one. I deleted a couple of Dave's posts earlier because I figured he could start a new thread in the new forum. I didn't realize whole threads would get moved there.

yeah, I deleted and edited nothing of anyone's, just for the record. before you accuse someone, it's usually good to just ask what happened. in the "moderator log" I'm really not that active with my "mod powers".

I'm also going to add that nothing in this entire forum's history has really upset my "delicate sensibilities" - previous mods have locked or taken issue with way more topics. we've had a heated argument on suicide, a giant debate on who was at fault when someone's guitar was broken, some personal callouts, offensive/homophobic slang, etc. this is pretty much the only time my powers have been called into question. dave mac, your posts bother me because you have no idea who I am and you are making a lot of rash judgements on my personality based on a single internet message board thread. everyone here except for you and a few of the randoms know I'm not the person you're making me out to be. you're very good at taking an issue like this and blowing it out of proportion. I suggest you get involved with some activism propaganda and make up some of those slogans that generalize complicated issues, you'd probably be pretty good at that too. I'm cool with how nearly everyone treated that (and this) thread except for you. if your goal is to get your point across and change some minds, you're totally failing.

and do I need to remind you again that I did not actually lock the thread. we had a discussion. that's all that happened. I considered keeping it locked for half a second, Kyle opened my eyes as to the douchiness of that, and I just let things fly. Willa suggested a chaos reigns board that's open to everyone, I was like "fuck yeah" and it happened. if anything, it's going to allow for a lot more controversy on this board. also a sweet space theme.
