If you're just looking for change and to see some things I'd get a one year travellers work visa and go to Europe. I'd particularly like to try living in Norway.

If I had to move tomorrow (within Canada) specifically to play music I would move to Edmonton. Great scene, great people playing music that interests me. I'd be happy to try living in Victoria too. I know it's old news to you, but I really enjoy being in your city.

Toronto I love visiting, but would not like to live there. But I spent a lot of time there and I'm over big cities now. If you're craving a more vibrant city life then Toronto may be just the ticket.

There are some amazing parts of Quebec, but not speaking french could make them a drag.

If you have dual citizenship with GB that'd kinda answer the question for me. Maybe you should save up and try going there for a few weeks to see what you think of it and if you like it take the plunge and move there. I think living in Ireland or Scotland would be amazing too.

I do not recommend living in Calgary. Again, for me, ok place to visit, but the overall vibe of that city seems bad to me.

come to vancouver so i can start a band with someone who likes slint and drive like jehu and shellac and joy division... but not. because its retardedly expensive here.

a couple friends have bailed to toronto and have said its really cool so far. cheaper rent, good punk scene ( and a short drive to detroit, philly, ny(?)) and interesting people

granted i've heard the same thing about edmonton. a friend moved there and had a band going in a week. plus bart records.
