If you don't know who I'm talking about, you could always go back and read that thread. This is not hard. And we're not really talking about a "statistic" here so much as a matter of simple counting. I mean, if you want a statistic, I could go through that old thread and count how many people were upset by it. We could then divide that number by the total number of people who posted in the thread all together. Or by total users. "A lot" is a fairly arbitrary term admitedly, and one could argue what does or does not constitute "a lot" but the numbers may speak for themselves if it's a resounding majority or minority. I don't really have the time to do that right now, but the idea intrigues me.

noun
a fact or piece of data from a study of a large quantity of numerical data
Semantics. Nonetheless, if you are talking about typical material for a college stats course: scatterplots, random sampling, correlation vs. causality etc. or whatever is studied in stats classes then no, it isn't "stats." However, I said "a statistic" and while I don't have a "large" quantity of numerical data per se, and I admittedly used the term a bit loosely, it still fits, as we're talking about a piece of data garnered from a study of numerical data.
