so who is keeping up with Mad Men?

Was this last episode not amazing? I, for one, was floored by it.

I'm not going to say that Mad Men is bad or anything, but I think if you're under 40 and watching it for anything other than glimpses at Christina Hendricks breasts, then you're beyond my comprehension.

Mad M...... yeah I never got into that show.

Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans it was directed by Herzog and stars Nicholas Cage. I must say I was reall I mean really suprised how much I liked this movie. It was very funny/dark/surreal. It shows that Cage still has it and should stop making terrible movies(I know he's bankrupt and all)for the sake of making a few bucks.

I watched the Royal Tenenbaums for the first time last night with Jodi. It was awesome! I think the only Wes Anderson movie I need to watch now is Darjeeling Unlimited.

I've been watching a ton of The Wire lately (I'm only 3 episodes away from finishing the series now). Great show. I love the concept behind the show too.

I just found out David Simon (Wire creator) also did Generation Kill, a mini series I watched a few months back that I also enjoyed. Anyone also see it?

Now I'm curious about Treme, what's the consensus on it?

Ugh, the last 3 episodes of the wire? You're in for a treat. An extremely satisfying/depressing treat as all the storylines finally come together.

I believe I read somewhere that the studio tacked on The Bad Lieutenant to the title, in an attempt to link Herzog's
Port Of Calls: New Orleans to a franchise of sorts (well at least attaching it to a cult film in hopes of drawing more interest to the movie). I believe this was against Herzog's wishes.

It was pretty good though I have always hated nick cage. Even in good movies he's starred in I just can't handle the guy, he is an over the top ham most of the time. It's too bad, because I can get behind eccentricity, which cage definitely possesses. He is a true weirdo, just rubs me the wrong way, personally.
