Nope, not crazy. I'd been living in the southwest for six years so the accent was waaaaaay more pronounced. Been here for five now, so it's gone down. Pretty normal, actually. I'm sure someone on here has had a friend go to England for a year and come back with a ridiculous faux-accent. When I go visit my family down south it comes out strong, and stays for about two weeks after.

No, but seriously... does anyone else find that when they hang out with people with accents they tend to want to take on all of their mannerisms and adopt the accent themselves? I do this constantly, especially with people I work with. It's completely subconscious and I worry sometimes that I'll accidentally do it and they'll take it as really mocking or patronizing.

when troy and I hosted some girls from england, we constantly kept accidentally phrasing our questions the way they do (imagine "do you want some more crumpets?" the way an english person says it vs. "are you stoked on jawbreaker?" the way we would say it)
