Actually, I was kinda thinkin' about this today. Yeah. This is exactly what these boards are built for. And honestly, I'm kinda stoked with how it works here. We get all our bullshit drama out here, and then we all see each other in real life and it's all good. At least, that seems to be the way it works (lord knows I've been wrong about stuff before). But yeah, this message board has been a good way for people to get out shit that they may have had trouble dealing with face to face. That's a good thing.

Then you'll go from being lonely to wishing that everybody would just fuck off because their a bunch of fucking buzzkills going on about how 'you've got a problem" and they "just want to be their to help you". You don't need any of them. You just need drugs.

Fair enough, but two things I'd like to point out. First, "drama" on this board has pretty much been what goes on in everyday life. People say things, other people disagree with said things and then there's either an argument or discussion and everything usually works out for the best. Nothing major, no one is getting attacked or threatened with physical violence, people aren't dropping out of the scene because of said drama, and overall it's fairly cathartic and healthy. Second, no one forces anyone to read this board or any thread on said board. If you are so incredibly turned off by drama, cut your internet connection.

I can agree up to a point. I enjoy going to Reeelapse and they have TONS of drama. Thing is I usually don't enter those threads because it's too much effort for me to lug around an opinion on something there. I mean it's like, what in the end is it going to matter? Drama isn't the only path to catharsis and health. I'd just prefer not to spend a bulk of my energy on that.

Absolutely agree that confrontation (which is essentially what were talking about here) isnt right for everyone.. I tend to be a much more upfront person, so i find that saying my piece is enough to make me feel better. Confrontation really does help me work through a lot. I wouldnt ask anyone to deal with that if it made them that uncomfortable. Im more than happy to evaluate and change my tactics when necessary. This is why i like the idea of having a seperate forum for all the bullshit. Let people argue, but if it becomes more than is appropriate, let them take it somewhere else.

Troy rests his broken hand carefully while one-hand typing. Tyler peers into the room at Troy's computer while sipping on some bourbon and Dr. Pepper.
Tyler: (seeing some reactionary face jpgs) What the fuck's going on in that thread?
Troy: I don't know. Nick and Kyle are arguing over something I think.
Tyler: Which thread is that?
Troy: The "this week sucked" thread.
Tyler: I haven't looked in that one in a while. I thought it was over. I guess not.
