all i could gather from their ramblings was the back door was open, and it was too loud, and cops? I dont know they were a little incoherent and way to angry.Peter wrote:Yea what was that about!?Hollow wrote:As long as the neighbours don't freak out again.
"hahaha, you were moved, wuss."
Re: NOV 13 Stalwart Sons

Wow...Biblebelt Badlands sound cool...althought they are FAR froma surf bands. As far as Los Tycoons go...indie-surf is not my bag...one of the most boring bands I've books in the past year or so.
Glad the show went well...how many people did you jam into the Ministry. I assume it was at capacity?

Re: NOV 13 Stalwart Sons
If it wasn't at capacity it was pretty close. Around thirty people, I would guess.
I didn't even notice that dumb broad unplugging the monitor speaker (it wasn't even the whole monitor, just the speaker) until the bass player from Stalwart Sons walked over and plugged it back in. All I know is that they started pushing on the door and screaming at me about the noise. I attempted to communicate to them that I didn't know what the fuck they were talking about by saying "I don't know what the fuck you're talking about". The dude just kept pointing to the back and shouting something incoherently. FINALLY he manages to communicate using his words, and tells me that the back door is open. Literally, up to that point he had just been really red and screaming gibberish. Mikhail, who was running the Ministry that night and is a solid dude as far as I can tell, runs back and closes the door and then gets them to leave and calms them down outside. Fucking weird.

Then you'll go from being lonely to wishing that everybody would just fuck off because their a bunch of fucking buzzkills going on about how 'you've got a problem" and they "just want to be their to help you". You don't need any of them. You just need drugs.

I remember tycoons having the biggest draw on the show by far, people dancing, crowd surfing. a good time. at least the young folk dug em. I dig em.wolfgang wrote:Wow...Biblebelt Badlands sound cool...althought they are FAR froma surf bands. Dude...lotsa lame bands have big draws...especially in an indie loving town like this. Most of the kids who were into Los Tycoons probably haven't seen a good instrumental band before...and they were weened on indie-rock like the rest of this town for the past 15 years...to them, mediocre indie-surf might be mind-blowing! Friend-core...fake fun...not my bag. Los Tycoons were only one of two bands who've played shows that I've booked in Victoria in the past 3 years, that I was embarrassed to have my name associated with.
