Green Tortoise hostel. Clean, well run, safe and if you're down for rooming with other folks only about $35 a night. Across the street from Pike St. Market and just a few blocks away from the clipper. That's my usual spot when I'm in Seattle.

I echo Willa's recommendation. I stayed there once and it was ok. I mean...it's a hostel, but the location is awesome, it's cheap, and they let you make your own breakfast in the morning. I had like 4 eggs.
The hardest kids still put an x on their name.

And for a hostel, it's pretty damn nice. No rats, most of the people I've met there have been super nice and not thieves, and you can buy food and make it in their large kitchen. Plus, they have the slowest internet connection on earth. Last time I was using it I was flashbacking to 1996 and my old 56k modem.

Can't remember the name, but there's a cheap dive hotel by the Moore Theater that I've stayed at a couple times. Should be easy to find with a bit of internet sleuthin'.

Could be the place. You can see it from the door of the Moore Theater, if there aren't any other really close hotels to the theater that's the one.

i've heard good things but I don't think its really a solution for this trip. I'll be at a show until 1-2 AM then leaving the next morning at 6 AM... also not confirmed how many people i'll be travelling with.

you need a place to crash for 4 hours? hit a coffee shop for a few hours and nap on your trip home.

you never know with couchsurfing. we have had guests that we have hosted like that which we would be fine with.

I also never like to get actual rooms so the first time before i knew people i just made a post on nwhardcore.com asking if anyone had a place to crash. Some people are pretty good about that.
