If I remember correctly, Troy is really into her? Maybe I'm wrong... I've never read any Rand, but I mean to in the future.

I think the AFTB demo was originally titled Ayn Rand's Cunt

been reading tons lately, feels good. blasted through From Hell by Alan Moore which absolutely blew my mind, exhausting to read but I couldn't put it down, then Misery by Stephen King which may seem like a weird thing to call a "fun" read but then again I guess I'm a bit of a twisted individual. Also finished The Man in the High Castle by Philip K. Dick which I'm not really sure how I felt about... there were interesting aspects but I wasn't crazy about all the religious stuff, some of it tended to drag a bit and the ending was pretty unsatisfying, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep was way better. now onto At the Mountains of Madness by HP Lovecraft (thanks Willa), my first experience with him and I love his writing style but can tell it's one I'm gonna have to chip away at over time. books are neat.

im late on this bandwagon. but im bored tonight and already killed off about 8 issues. good atmosphere to it.
i like how these survivors know what zombies are, refer to them as "zombies" and know how to kill them already. its always sort of bugged me in other zombie lore movies/games/books/whatever when people are so confused about what they are and shoot them in the chest constantly ect.

tldr; i like this approach.
going to watch the premier tomorrow (HD woo 8-) )

I've only read the first two volumes of the series, but it's one of those books that ends on a cliffhanger and I NEED TO KNOW HOW THEY'RE GONNA GET OUTTA THIS ONE!

Right now i'm currently reading a book called Evasion.

I just finished a couple of interesting zines as well. Including: Can't Stop Chaos which is about the history of the Blac Bloc movement and autonomous resistance. Hornswoggled 4 which is the 4th installment of a music zine my friend Jordan(from the band Wantmonster) writes. A D.I.Y. Guide to overthrowing Capitalism with an interesting guide to train hopping and various other things.

I read alot of Crimethinc and AK Press stuff. Other than the bulk of my literature is either books and zines I pick up at shows or that I get from various distros.

I've tried Stephen King books but I just can't get into them as books. I do however, enjoy some of his movies including It and The Shining.

I read the Evasion zine when it first came out. I have my problems with Crimethinc. but I remember there being some really good writing in that thing. I was pretty disappointed when the book version had a tag on the back that said "Homelessness, poverty, hunger; if you're not having fun you're not doing it right" or something to that effect. Pretty stupid thing to say. I've noticed that more recent printings don't have that anymore, so hopefully someone freaked out on them for that insensitivity.

Warren, I tried reading Infinite Jest and couldn't get through more than thirty pages. Those were thirty of the best written pages I've ever read, though. Holy shit. I'm just too busy during the school year, so I think I'm gonna just buy a copy and make that my summer reading. Gonna need a good book for tour, anyway.

Half way through "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" by Philip K. Dick. I think I'm gonna read "A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius" next. I enjoy Dave Eggers a lot.

Nick, if you wanna babble about Spinoza with someone you should chat with my Mom. Probably the philosopher that's influenced her the most. Woman is constantly quoting him.

You don't need any of them. You just need drugs.

Try his Gunslinger series. Great stuff.

Yeah the book is pretty amazing so far. I have a lot of free time so I thought this would be the time to read it.

I've finally decided to try and "understand" some of metaphysics. I'm going to like a lot of it I can already tell, but I figured it might be worth the reading...

I'm currently reading Dante's Inferno and the I'm going to keep going and read Purgatorio and Paradiso And it's wonderful because Dante just sends all the people he hates to Hell. Including the people who drink. Yay for bitter 13th century poets.

It gets better than that! The whole reason Dante wrote the damn book in the first place is because he was exiled from Florence. If you read the book closely enough (or were alive back then and knew who all the people he's talking about are) apparently 90% of the characters in the book were people he personally knew and blamed for his exile. It ended up printing and selling around 600 copies.

Inferno is basically a medieval diss track that went triple platinum.

EDIT: Fact checked.
