this albums great and the song 'ill keep it with mine' was written by bob dylan which is pretty cool i think.

Image

it took me a long time to listen to this band because i always hated the name but now i dig it cause this albums so off the hook.

Image

i have volumes 1 - 4 of nuggets on my itunes which is cool because so often after an album ends a song from nuggets will come on because there's so many different artists on it. if you havent heard it its a compilation of 60's garage/psychedelic rock, a lot of which i would consider the earliest punk bands.

metal/ish bands doing covers of mostly non metal songs sorta related to war, some of it blows, some of its really good.

wouldnt be surprised if my band gets un-original and does a dahmer cover.

War Ensemble - As I Lay Dying - its ok, pretty much sounds like slayer with growlier vocals
Fight the Power - The Dillinger Escape Plan feat. Chuck D - pretty cool actually
Uprising - iwrestledabearonce i like both the band and the song being covered, but eh does nothing for me
War Pigs - The Acacia Strain FUCK i know there's a lot of like for acacia but this is good
One - Periphery a bag of butts
Fortunate Son - The Ghost Inside not big on ghost inside, but i can dig this
For What It's Worth - Winds of Plague i thought it was good, doesnt sound like winds of plague to be honest, which is a plus
Us and Them - Misery Signals SNOOZE
Masters of War - Arsonists Get All the Girls so weird that im really into it
War - Oceano SO BAD, SO BAD
Sunday Bloody Sunday - Veil of Maya the u2 of deathcore doing a u2 cover, surprises every day.

absolutely no one would agree with me though.

the do the same lame ethereal wave of guitar twiddling that u2 does, i call them that too cause the bouncer at a show i was at (that veil played) called them something like "this band sounds like u2, but deathcore"
