yup - usually the final table [top 9] pays the most, but in most tourneys the top 150 or 200 get paid at least what the buy in is, and the higher you place,t he more you win.

dope, i just bought 25 bucks worth of chips and played a micro table, what do you generally do?

I started with $200 - right now thw acct is up around $800, i started on the .50/1.00 tables but usually only go to the $50 max buy in's and always 6 handed, not 9

Sometimes i play small buy in tourneys, the 5k guaranteed tourneys for $2 buy in are goldmines, also sometimes i play the $5 or $10 freezeout sit n go's

generally a good rule of thumb is 10 buy ins (so if youre playin a .25/.50 table with $50 buy in you probably want to have $500 or more) if youre pkayin the micro, the .5/.10 is probably where you wanna be with only $25.

well here is the only hand that i havent been able to properly anaylze and justify my play, i am ok with it, if he had a bigger stack, id probably lay it down - it was his first couple hands at the table, i didnt have much of a read on him, i think i was just married to my overpair and after i put in the raise over the top i felt committed - in case nobodys noticed i play a LAG [loose aggressive] style, which generates huge pots and alot of coinflips - haha

So first off, he's UTG and raising 2.5x the bb... I never like raising utg unless I'm like AJs, 99 or better (I also play really tight usually, though). I feel like my TT here is going to likely be about 50%ish...

Flop is fairly ideal, I like your raise there. I feel like he's probably making a continuation bet on that board, where you actually have an over pair. When he reraises you're either all in or folding. I probably reraise all in here, like you did, but I could also see the argument for laying it down.
