Note: NOT "This show is too expensive", this is "This show is too expensive for me" a.k.a. I ain't got no cash flow, which is something I can relate to!
I play bass. I play guitar. I do both poorly. What's up.

Fish, the Vancouver show is at Funky Winkerbeans which is a good venue...it's pretty much the new Cobalt. The Vancouver show has no Rebel Spell and I don't like the dude who booked it. Originally there were no interesting local bands on the bills. There are so many amazing local bands in Vancouver it's stupid that the Vancouver show doesn't get a good line up. However, I think they changed the line up and added System Shit and Uptown Riot. I like System Shit and Uptown Riot are good for what they do but i've just seen them alot of times. I haven't been on a good island adventure in a really long time and Victoria and Campbell River are 2 of the few places on the island I haven't explored yet. So i'd just rather spend my money on a weekend adventure with friends and see shows with better line ups.

dont tell me to "pony up"
i support a fuck ton of music here by going to shows when most people dont even blink an eye about going.
13 dollars is a lot for me to pay when i just saw the rebel spell 2 weeks ago, AK doing shows on the reg, me not caring about the restarts oh and also having $80 in my bank.

I'm leaving town the day before this for a couple weeks, too bad. This'll be a great show. I did a couple shows for Blood Nasty in Regina years ago, good to see they're still a band.

They will always be a band, as far as I can tell.
This show is gonna be fun. If you can afford it, come and hang out with me. If you can't afford it, stay home, smoke weed and play Call of Duty. Problem solved, everyone's happy.

You don't need any of them. You just need drugs.

I go over to Pauly's house and bug him to let me play. I do not have the money to buy a PS3. But I want one. Oh man. Do I want one.

I meant no disrespect and wasn't trying to say you don't support shows. It's rad that you support local music. I support the crap out music over here. I totally understand the no money. I hardly ever have money. If you've seen all the bands before understandable. I was just saying for the people coming to the show come and support all the bands.keith. wrote:dont tell me to "pony up"

I've never seen any of those bands live accept for The Rebel Spell but i've been listening to Restarts and AK-47 for a while and never explored Victoria. So for me since it will be a fun weekend excursion.
Re: April 1st Restarts/Rebel Spell/AK 47/Blood Nasty
This will be AK's last show for a while. We are officially on haitus starting April 2nd =).

Re: April 1st Restarts/Rebel Spell/AK 47/Blood Nasty
This show ruled.
Blood Nasty: I was late like a chump. Caught their last two songs though, and they were awesome. I'm really digging the vibe they've got with the three piece, and I love that they've managed to mix street punk with crust and still manage to sound great. There is a lot of potential for ridiculousness with that mixture, and they avoid it with aplomb.
AK-47: FUCK. Fuck I am going to miss this band. Got to have some Tony Goluza bro-downs, which is always awesome, and they played New Orleans, which is easily my favorite song of theirs. Amazing dudes (and dudette) and an amazing band. I'm going to miss them.
Rebel Spell: This band is too much fun. They played a great set, and obviously were enjoying themselves. I didn't even care that they were late, it was worth it. I'm kicking myself for missing them the last few times they made it out here. I haven't been this stoked on a straight up punk band since I was sixteen.
The Restarts: Okay, full confession time: I don't like street punk. There just isn't that much out there that interests me. These guys, though, played a fucking hell of a set, came back for an encore, and were hanging out with sixteen year old punk kids before and after their set. I honestly probably will never listen to their records, cuz I'm not really into the sound, but fuck will I go to their shows. Good goddamned punk rock, and a blast to watch live.
Okay, I'm hammered and have to work in the morning. Fuck yeah, good show.
