my highlights include:

-grow/blackwater. blast beats and screamo, yes.
-victimless crime was cool.
-set foot.
-griever was cool. had fun hanging out with them and the gibas at Willa's. fun story we got there before them and we climbed in through kris' window, he seemed mildly annoyed.
-getting grabbed by Willa during the no eulogy set.
-buying a jane doe shirt from tyler.
-ringleader/old problems/invasion=cool
-WAR ELEPHANT bringing the mosh. also that big guy falling flat on his stomach was hilarious.
-mother fucking erode. hung out with these guys before the fest, they are total sweet hearts and I hope they come back soon.
-deadbeat actually being pretty cool. I was pleasantly surprised be there set.
-giving jordan my cold 3xl as life shirt, and then that real tall guy got super stoked and it was decided he should have it as it would actual fit him.

I was kinda bummed I missed anchoress as they were pretty cool at the pre show and gave me a ride to kays house.
this fest was FUN

Alexis, that dude was Tristan... and it doesn't fit him (that dude should be wearing a medium hhahaha). But he is a very crucial dude and will appreciate it more then you and me could (since he wears shirts that big). But i was legit stoked you offered it to me. You are a legit gentlemen.

well fit him in the in the sense that he's tall enough that it doesn't look ridiculous.

My highlights:
-Griever
-The Runaways
-Out of Sight, they get better everytime I see them.
-Ringleader
-Open Relationship, I can't believe it took me this long to finally see that band, and their Jet Boy, Jet Girl cover rocked!
-Getting to see Erode and Achoress twice!
-Hanging out with rad vancouver friends I don't see that often
-Meeting a bunch of really awesome new people.
-Quoting the simpsons with the twins.
-Honestly there is probably more bands that I was really stoked on at the time that I am forgetting to mention, but after 4 days of shows in a row they are all kinda blurring together.

The Not So Good:
-Seeing some behaviour I don't enjoy seeing at hardcore shows (other things besides just the horizons scandal) though thankfully it wasn't excessive.
-Talking about The Suicide File all weekend then, not knowing the words to the Suicide File cover!
-The fact that people who work WAY too hard to make this fest happen, had to take such a big financial hit.

Honestly for the most part it was pretty awesome.
It's so easy to laugh, It's so easy to like, It takes strength to be gentle and kind .

+seeing people get excited for bands. INCLUDING Horizons set. Which got a good reaction. Blah blah.. yeah. whatever
+ Blackwater set was sweet as well. I think i enjoyed it more as a 3 piece than 4.

- Not as many people at my BBQ what gives guys
- Jordan Foote working door. I need to see that dude enjoying bands or my weekend is ruined. Thus why I told him to go in during certain soings
- ONLY carried Karla around like 4 times. NEED MOREE
- Punch / Loma didn't play
- passive aggressiveness of the signs / approach. ugh. Whatever i guess i am actually not that PC... but I also don't do or say shitty things either.... hmmm

+ Runaways, Tongue Tied, OOS, Erode, Ringleader and Open Relationship among all the others I managed to see
+ Rad people
+ A relatively tidy home at the end (Yesss, thanks be to considerate and awesome people)
+ 14.39 profit for the 6 1/2 year old!

- Having to miss tons of sets Saturday eve
- Only seeing one to two songs most earlier sets of Sunday
- Difficulty of choosing which bands to miss in order to sustain self with food
- Stupid cabs who drive by Troy and I flagging them at an ungodly hour. TURN OFF YOUR LIGHTS.

Troy! I wish I was at your BBQ.
Also, I agree 100% with your comment on passive aggressiveness. I'm not that PC but I also don't really do or say shitty things. I also enjoyed Horizons' set, and I'll be honest, I was never a huge fan of them, but I was super into it this night! People jumping on the bandwagon about what's offensive and what isn't without really knowing what happened. I know I'm going to get a lot of flack for this but I hope everyone who knows me knows where I'm coming from on this one but anyways, I don't want to get to the negatives too much. Let's just remember the good times. Saturday made me really stoked to be in Set Foot again. Thanks Victoria and everyone else who always give us love whenever we play. Although I miss a lot of bands in between (I can't sit through a ton of bands anymore) I know they put all effort into their sets and everyone who helped out for the fest put a lot of time in the selection of the bands. Let's just always go with positive vibes here. Remember that when this fest started (and shows in general a few years ago), we were dealing with fights breaking out, just be happy we're not dealing with that anymore. BUT AGAIN, let's just keep with the positive vibes. Also talking about negative stuff on a messageboard is as lame as the problem themselves. I LOVE EVERYONE WHO WAS A PART OF THIS FEST!

I don't get how making a statement to a room of people with a sign is passive aggressive. It was the fastest/most direct means of commenting to a group of people short of taking the mic from the band on stage and giving a speech, which I would find less appropriate than holding up a sign.

Sides of the story and whatnot aside, I think it's a plus that people got to see others express their dissatisfaction through protest. IMO it was bold to do instead of quietly grumbling about it to each other.

Or the other thing that could have happened was talk to him after the set. Dustin is a very approachable guy. Also I state this many times, it's only degrading if the other party (which happened to be a female) felt degraded. If it was a guy no one would have said anything. Who's sexist now? Dustin would have done the same thing, male or female. Also protest is only effective if you can't get your voice across any other way. Like I said, if they really had a problem with it, they should have talked to both Dustin and the girl involved. Also, would you have reacted the same way if a girl vocalist did the same thing?
