yeah they were awesome. I was one of the first people to show up to their house-show here and I was really jazzed on The Wire and gang culture so I said "hey we're going to have to jump you in" and the guitar player says "what does that mean?" and I said "well it means we beat you up and then you're in your gang but this is victoria we'll probably just give you a hug or something."

any more info I could get on this would be great. like, who would be up for playing this show, would anybody be interested in contributing money and or help, where can the band stay, if i did this show would it be a bad idea to do it at the norway house.

1. Last time I put on a Brain Fever show here it came together no problem because lots of bands wanted to play with them. But who knows?
2. Mostly I just don't want to get a venue for this/promised myself I'd focus on school and work this fall. But I'll help where I can!
3. My house!!!
4. It's 300 bucks or so right? And if your PA can't fill Norway Hall then you'll also have to rent something. That's a lot of money but it's up to you!

all of kays stuff there is very helpful.

nick. personally I'm sick of the ministry.

*edit* but I messaged the ministry anyways, as it would be more convenient for the band if they are gonna stay with kay. but I will say that I've had a lot of issues trying to communicate with the ministry.

well it's a small venue that seemingly ends up working quite well...you can't be picky with the resources available

more and more that I think about this show, the ministry seems the best choice, I just wish they were easier to get a hold of, they still haven't replied to my last email. and that was about three moths ago.

If anybody can help me get a hold of someone involved there that would be great.

have you talked to Fever yet? they were emailing me and i think even the Dininno brothers about options and venues and promoters you should touch base with them if you havent and see if anyone else is making headway or has already got a lead. combine forces and the workload

Ive been talking to fever today, I haven't directly asked them, but from the tone it felt like there hasn't been much progress. let those other people know to get in contact with me if they want to help.

I'd also like to say that brain fever have been the easiest band I have ever dealt with. so far this has been a breeze. all I need is a venue and a couple more bucks, and this thing is pretty much ready to go.

Bumping this. ministry is a no go, which is a bummer as I could have handled the entire cost myself if it had been.

anyways, this the part where I'm gonna ask for some help, as a general consensus whats the next best venue to do this at. ambrosia is ok but god damn is it expensive.

everything else is lined up and good to go I just need venue.

Ambrosia is one of the cheaper ones left in town.
Most venues in town these days are $500
Ambrosia at $240 plus tax for the small room is a deal (weekday that is)
Sunset is over $300
