I'd rather the cops not be in attendance at this show. I'll ask him buts he's a very busy dude.grind/bro wrote:contact Andy about putting this show on and getting it done up at some outside location

I have contacted andy and it would be cool if he could help me out as I'm pretty much fucked at this point. is the castle an option?
I'd kinda like to try the red door but I don't really know whats going on with that situation plus everybody I know who lives there is out of town.
I've have a few places left to try but I'm pretty much tapped out for venues. fuck.

Pandora Project was THE place for shows back in the day. What's it been doing all these years?

Re: Brain Fever Oct 9th
considering we have a new bassist to train and we'll probably only be able to jam like once as a full band before that, probably not.
re: pandora project
I'm willing to bet it's the same thing as other venues... a few bad shows and a few cranky neighbours turning into a semi-permanent unofficial policy against doing shows
but we'll see. I recall they required a $2000 deposit or something? anyone remember that?

"Tyler,
The problem with all ages shows is that they are generally geared to underage kids who, in our experience, abuse the rule of law, mistreat the venue, and annoy the neighbours with the activities that go on in the parking lot and park that is not monitored by security. We have had a long standing agreement with our neighbours to avoid those situations.
We do allow licensed, private events for families, but not for the general public, who do have bands and we do have sit down concerts for musicians, but not dances. With the proliferation of cell phones and social media, our little 100 seat hall has been filled to capacity and an additional several hundred milling about the edges of the park. This is why the community centres are hesitant to host events such as yours.
We have had success with multi-generational events where families with similar interests congregate. These are true all ages events because all ages are represented.

Re: Brain Fever Oct 9th
seriously, is there anyone I can contact to complain about a youth-hating community center "facility coordinator"? punk shows aren't "true" all ages events because old people don't like punk? it's just so full of generalizations.
