ROTTING HILLS/COOKED AND EATEN/BURIALKULT/NORTHERN -NOV.19th
Hey so next weekend a rare gathering is happening in Victoria COOKED & EATEN which is made up of members of BISON BC, MUDLARK & BAPTISTS are coming to town for their first show along side ROTTING HILLS, which has 5 Drummers!!!
Locals NORTHERN and BURIALKULT (called Esbat before) are opening!!!
It's hard to get all these guys together for a show because their main bands are always touring....so don't miss your chance to see this!!
like 5. DRUM. KITS....
this will be one HEAVVVVY show to say the least.

There better be some polyrhythms up in that bitch or I'm gonna be disappointed.

Northern was good as always. Glad to see Lincoln is working out.
BurialKult was pretty awesome too. Sorta Angelcorpse/Black Witchery vibe. Cory said that chad needed reverb on his vox, I agree.
Cooked and Eaten stole the show for me. So fucking crushing. That guitar tone.
Rotting Hills was fucked up! Loved it. So different and still along the same lines of decency of it's genre. Fucking 5 drummers, like you can't explain that.

Northern are not really my thing but sounded sweet. Burialkult had decent material but their live presence was a total joke, they covered every totally hilarious black metal cliche and didn't really pull it off, I found myself feeling as though they were trying way too hard and also that their set went on for way too long. Cooked and Eaten fucking ripped despite the sound sucking (as seems to be the norm for venues like that place, oh well), wanna get them back here soon for sure. Rotting Hills was epic as fuck and I wish it had been longer. Had a fun night.

Northern were definitely on, your new drummer is solid. If there were any mistakes, they weren't noticed by me but then again I'm not looking for them.
Burialkult were good for a first show but yeah; I felt the vocals needed some dungeon reverb. Ron disagrees though and thinks it works best dry, so what do we know. Watching the singer nearly clock the bassist with the Mic stand was uncomfortable. That said, I'd see them again.
Cooked and Eaten were awesome I felt. Awesome tones and the vocals were great.
Rotting Hills were fantastic too, watching syncopation over 5 drummers is a good stoner activity.
