I have this infallible problem of at first not caring much for bands then months to years later actually giving a fuck about them. (Leeway, No Warning, Rise and Fall, Xibalba, Cro-Mags, Black Flag, etc didn't care for much and in some cases further listening or seeing them live changed that)
But besides all the more "mainstream" picks above which generally are true for me here is what I have come up with:

I sorta like threads like this. Makes it to easy for people to just say a band they know will cause some stupid reaction then never say anything else about it. Not that it has happened to much in this thread but still

I'm with Brydon on this one. I don't see it as trying to get a reaction like that, it's just hard to ever voice any opinion that isnt fanboyism about Jawbreaker. They're not BAD, but I think I missed out on what made them stand out so much.

The only time there are ever stupid reactions in threads like these are when dorks get butthurt over other people not liking the same music as them and the have a stupid reaction.
