welp. That's officially the coolest thing ever.
lake cowichan rules man.
Reminds me of life up in Rupert. We had cougars and wolves roaming the neighbourhood all the time with the occasional bear. To get to one of the highschools/the Christian school from our place you could either take the scenic route or cut through the trail in the forested area that housed these animals. More often than not my sister would take the trail..
pft
we always had to go back inside at gym because there would be bears on the field. they just wanted to play football with us like goddamn.
also i opened my kitchen blinds one morning to find a bear staring at me. that was neat.
and in my back yard (which is half an acre of foresty hill) there is a family of deer that live there and i used to always go hang out with my camera.
once two deer were just layin' relaxin' maxin' all cool and i was maybe 5 feet away. i pointed my camera at them and one of the deer just stared at me while i focused and shit (which took a really long time because i was just a youngin' and didn;t know shit about photog). after i snapped the picture he moved.
posin' deer, man.
we used to have rabbits too but the bear ate 'em
also my cat Max once stalked and chased a deer. which resulted in him getting kicked in the head by it and dying
which sucks but that is a fucking awesome way to die if you are a cat.
