I dont know who this is but considering the praise ive been hearing from certain people, I have a feeling I'm going to regret not going to this at a later date.

Re: Vic Chesnut show
didn't end up going down. WHICH I WILL REGRET.
considering his backing band. To this date A Silver Mt. Zion has put on one of the BEST live shows i have ever seen.
and GUY from FUGAZI.
The album was okay
Couldn't find someone to go i had a guest list spot.. no plus one though

And RItes of Spring, don't forget that. Dude basically had an emo supergroup backing him.

You don't need any of them. You just need drugs.

Re: Vic Chesnut show
I got it, might be able to send it your way. Got the remastered Rites Of Spring too, which is very good. I've liked the remasters of all the Discord stuff I've heard so far. Some of the many remasters getting done these days sound pretty bad to me, but so far all Discord remasters have delivered.dalamar501 wrote:yeah i would never forget Rites of Spring. Choked on this show.....I emailed Guy a few months ago and we've bin emailing back and forth a bit about this show. He got me on the guestlist, but the meathead door guy got all aggro with me once he figured out i was 8 days under 19. And One Last Wish are fucking sweet, I'll definatley be getting the re-issue eventually.

i've done that for people more times than i can remember. it's foolproof, unless anyone working for some reason decides to walk back at that time.dalamar501 wrote:told you lucky is a bitch. I probably went to more shows illegally than i had legally months after i was legal.keith. wrote:backed

But looking back I do in a sense feel bad about it, as had they been caught by a liquor inspector the fines are so ridiculous that they could get shut down and then one of our best venues could be in trouble.
but cest la vie
Re: Vic Chesnut show
Carl and I happened to go by the venue Vic Chesnutt is playing at in Van tonight and we saw Guy. He and Carl exchanged thumbs up.

Re: Vic Chesnut show
I am immensely bummed about not going to this. I thought it was too expensive, but I had no idea that we'd be losing such a great voice in independent music so soon. RIP Vic. You'll be missed!
