so awesome in understanding the Big Bang, physics, and the universe in general.
Re: Books you are currently reading
does anyone else get a bit of a show-off/pissing contest vibe from this thread sometimes? it makes me afraid to say that I am reading this teen novel:
and then plan on revising this classic from my childhood:
they're both short as hell but the naive voice and diction almost makes the material feel that much more real. I am thinking of reading them out loud to becky at night, would it be totally hilarious and ridiculous if I were to make audiobook recordings and post them?

Not ashamed of having read the first one in about 5-6 hours in prep for seeing the movie, loved it. Read the second and third over the next few days. The second book is the best, the third is a let down overall despite providing closure.

^^
Ugh, when I still worked at Chapters and customers would buy the second one, I'd tell them to pretend the last one didn't exist or be horribly disappointed.

Bump. Re-reading this after I just re-watched Kubrick's adaptation of it. I was feeling really burnt out on books this year I think I've only read like 5 or 6, it's pretty fucking pathetic. Trying to get bac on track.

About 1/3 through Farewell to Arms.

I can't wait til the day I get to read to for fun again. Stupid school...
At the end of the summer I read Neuromancer, Count Zero and Mona Lisa Overdrive by William Gibson. I'd highly recommend them even if you don't usually dig Scifi. They're just great writing.
