There is context, though, and we need to address that. Again, there is a large difference between me and mine making fun of my being jewish, and some random jackass doing it.

Basically, anyone who uses those two words will get the warnings I said I'd give, but I'll take into context what was being said, and what they were trying to get across. Also, there are not going to be any mass bannings, and I want people to feel free to express themselves. Just try not to use those words.

Okay, I'll be staight up, and I've already spoken to Willa about this a bit. I don't have a problem with not allowing such terms, but I do have a problem with the complete lack of dialogue in regards to the creation of forum rules. I think that the way this handled was rather short sighted and reactionary and what's needed right now are reasoned and calculated responces. Baisically, before we go handing down edicts, we need to talk about what's the most appropriate way to do things and a pissed off knee-jerk reaction is not the most apropriate way to do things. Off the top of my head I can think more than few problems with this current set of rules and I don't think it's acceptable to just say "Double standards exist, I wont pretend they don't." Seriously, this is something that needs to be discussed. Sorry if I'm across as a dick but they way that this was carried out bothers me quite a bit. I'm completly down with intent of these rules, but not with the way this was handled.
