My job is pretty cool most of the time, and the wage is so low that I need the OT to survive, still, this shift is ridiculous.

That sounds like you really need to get a new job. If it makes you feel better, my job also comes with the crushing guilt of know that the better a job I do when planning for the coming Fiscal Year, the more of my friends get laid off.
