How much does Troyler get out of the deal??? $20 is pretty ridiculous for any house show...I listened to the Myspace stuff, and I don't get why anyone would bother spending $20 on stuff they could hear for free at a cafe or bookstore in pretty much any city in North America. The online ticket sales thing is really weird too...how does Troyler make sure they get their cut???

is there a cut? we've never made a cut on any of our shows. always give it to the out of towners, even if there's more than we promised the band, which has happened before at these house shows. maybe he's assuming only eight tickets will sell. cause that'd cover his trip.

Troy and Tyler never get anything out of the shows they put on. That's what makes them awesome.


That being said, while I like Rocky, this is just weird. Why didn't he just book a coffee house or something? It's like he wants the cool DIY effect of a house show without it actually being a house show. You can't have your cake and eat it, too.

This all just seems kinda shady to me. Not a shot at Troy and Tyler because I know they're solid dudes, backed hard, but this is all just so peculiar and needlessly complicated. If it wasn't $20 bucks and I could pay at the door I'd probably go, but that's way too much for a house show/someone I'm only marginally interested in. And I don't have a credit card so I can't buy things on line anyway. But I guess it's cool since we'll know who the realest fans are since they're willing to jump through all those hoops I guess.
